Telehealth Therapy & Interjurisdictional Services in Eugene, OR

I maintain active, full licensure as a Psychologist in Oregon (#4076), Nevada (#PY0657), and California (#PSY24434). This multi-state licensure allows me to provide routine telehealth services to clients residing anywhere within these three states, governed by their respective state psychology boards.
Clinical Scope & Telehealth Boundaries
While modern technology offers significant convenience, effective clinical psychology relies on a secure, thoroughly evaluated therapeutic foundation. To maintain the integrity and quality of my clinical practice, telehealth services are offered under the following explicit parameters:
- An Adjunct to In-Person Care: Telehealth is utilized primarily as an adjunct tool for continuity of care—allowing established patients to maintain therapeutic momentum during travel, minor illness, or schedule complications—rather than as a standalone virtual clinic.
- In-Person Intake Requirement: I do not provide pure telehealth treatment models. Every clinical relationship must begin with a comprehensive, face-to-face diagnostic evaluation in my physical office. Prospective telehealth clients residing outside the local area—including those in California, Nevada, or participating compact states—must be willing and able to attend their initial intake evaluation in person before any remote treatment can begin.
- No Remote Formal Evaluations: Formal psychological testing, cognitive and neuropsychological batteries, diagnostic evaluations, and forensic assessments require strictly controlled, face-to-face administration and behavioral observation. I do not conduct formal psychological testing or comprehensive diagnostic evaluations via telehealth.
- Treatment-Integrated Clinical Measures: The prohibition on standalone evaluation does not apply to clinical measures utilized within ongoing psychotherapy. In the course of routine, established treatment, I often utilize secure digital self-report instruments (such as via Pearson Q-Global or ACORN clinical outcome monitoring). These online measures—including personality inventories, symptom screeners, and routine outcome monitoring—may be assigned between sessions to track therapeutic progress or provide diagnostic clarification to guide our ongoing treatment.
Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT)
In addition to my state-specific licenses, I hold the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT Mobility #5034), granted by The PSYPACT Commission on August 5, 2020, along with an active E.Passport credential from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB).
The ASPPB E.Passport and APIT designations are advanced mobility credentials that distinguish psychologists who have met rigorous national standards for interjurisdictional practice. These credentials facilitate the delivery of telepsychology across state boundaries into participating jurisdictions without the need to obtain individual licenses in every state. What is PSYPACT?
In the United States, the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) is an interstate compact offering an expedited pathway for qualified psychologists to practice across state lines. The PSYPACT Commission is the governing body of the compact, comprised of one representative from each participating state.
Under compact regulations, telepsychology services provided under APIT mobility must originate from a psychologist’s registered Home State. Because Oregon has not yet enacted PSYPACT legislation, my active Nevada psychology license serves as my registered compact Home State. Consequently, interjurisdictional telehealth services extended into the wider network of participating compact states are coordinated and conducted under my Nevada Home State authority in strict accordance with Commission rules. Interjurisdictional Scope (PSYPACT Mobility)
In addition to my primary practice in Oregon, California, and Nevada, I hold national mobility authority to provide telepsychology services to clients located in over 40 participating compact jurisdictions. Because PSYPACT regulations require interjurisdictional services to physically originate from within my Nevada Home State, extended telehealth into these participating states is arranged on a specialized, case-by-case basis in accordance with jurisdictional travel and regulatory requirements:
